Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect at my first session?
Your first appointment is a 45-minute assessment designed to really understand you and your goals.
We’ll chat through your injury, training history, lifestyle and general health. You’ll have a thorough physical assessment, a clear explanation of what’s going on, and a personalised rehab plan so you leave knowing exactly what the next steps look like.
How long are sessions?
Initial assessment: 45 minutes
Follow-up sessions: 30 minutes
Focused, efficient and built around your progress.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies depending on your injury and what you’re working towards.
Whether you’re training for a marathon, getting back to football, preparing for a ski trip, or simply wanting to move without pain, your plan will be tailored to your timeline and budget. Some people just need a short block of rehab — others enjoy ongoing support to stay performing at their best. If it's looking like it may take a while, we can figure out a treatment plan.
I haven’t exercised in a while — is this for me?
Absolutely.
You don’t need to be fit to start. We meet you where you are and build from there. Every programme is tailored to your current level so you can regain strength and confidence safely. Don't want to rehab with the physio and would prefer to do it at home. Then that is completely fine as well. Assessment, treatments can all be done in the treatment room.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, loose clothing that allows access to the area we’re assessing.
If your rehab session is gym-based, trainers and training kit are ideal.
Access & Parking
On-site parking is available right outside the gym.
The building is step-free with wheelchair access (please note there is no wheelchair-accessible WC).
What is the gym space like?
We’re based at Norwich Fit Academy — a private, welcoming gym space that isn’t busy or intimidating. It’s a calm environment where you can focus fully on your rehab and performance goals.
Can I bring someone with me?
Of course. If you’d feel more comfortable bringing someone along, you’re very welcome to
(we just ask that it’s one person due to space).
Next Phase Physio is female-run.
